A 7-month-old boy remains in serious condition after being unintentionally shot by his 4-year-old brother. The shooting took place in a home in Temple, Texas. Police have not released any information about the shooting.
According to news reports the home where the shooting occurred has a security fence with signs on it that read "No Trespassing" and "The average response time of a 911 call is 23 minutes. The response time of a .357 is 1,400 feet per second."
Temple police said they arrived at the scene two minutes after the 911 call was placed.

Woman Unintentionally Shot When Man Shows Off His Gun
28-year-old Lisha Xu was shot and seriously injured at a home in Forks Township, PA.
Police say a resident in the home was showing another man his handgun when he unintentionally discharged the weapon. The bullet struck Xu in her right side. She was taken to the hospital where she is listened in serious condition.

73-year-old Woman Shot and Killed by Neighbor Who Was Target Shooting
A 73-year-old woman was standing in the kitchen of her home in Riley Township, Michigan. Her husband reported that he heard a "loud crack and his wife collapsed to the floor." He discovered his wife had been shot.
The woman was rushed to the local hospital where she died of her injuries.
Police determined that the bullet came from a neighboring property where a 21-year-old man was target shooting. He was shooting at a berm he had built with a gun that has a range of longer than a mile and a half.
Police say the young man is cooperating with the investigation.

Wife of Eagles band member killed in unintentional shooting
63-year-old Lana Ray Meisner, wife of Eagles co-founder Randy Meisner, was killed at their home when a rifle being moved unintentionally discharged.
According to police, as Lana lifted the rifle in the case, another item within the case shifted and hit the rifle causing it to fire. She died of a single gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
About 90 minutes before the incident, North Hollywood police went to the Meisner's home in response to a radio call from a woman asking for police assistance for a possibly intoxicated male suspect. Police took a domestic violence incident report and left.
In 2015, Randy was placed under 24-hour supervision after allegedly threatening a murder-suicide with an AK-47.
Randy was cooperative throughout the investigation of his wife's death.

12-year-old Idaho girl unintentionally shot during local militia meeting
A 12-year-old girl who was at a local militia meeting with her father at the Rupert Gun Range in Rupert, Idaho was shot and wounded when a member of the group was trying to clear his weapon and unintentionally discharged the gun.
The 3% of Idaho group went to target practice after their meeting when the incident happened. According to reports, the bullet struck a metal table and ricocheted hitting the girl in the stomach and exiting her side.
She was helicoptered to the hospital where she underwent surgery. She was in stable condition.
In a Facebook post, one of the militia members wrote, "It sounds as if she is going to be ok, she was able to tell (her father) she loved him as they were loading her into the helicopter."

Teen holding gun while on hoverboard loses balance, unintentionally shoots gun, kills 13-year-old cousin
Louis was holding the gun while riding on a hoverboard. When he lost his balance he unintentionally discharged the gun, shooting his 13-year-old cousin Lavardo Fisher in the back of the head. Lavardo was playing Xbox at the time.
Lavardo was taken to the local hospital where he died of his injuries.
The owner of the gun, 35-year-old Walter Morame, was arrested on charges of possession of a weapon by a felon.
Lavardo was an eighth grader at Ocoee Middle School and played football for the Ocoee Bulldogs. Last year he was named a Pop Warner All-American scholar.

Man drops gun in Cracker Barrel, gun discharges injures customer eating breakfast
William Hoback, of Sanford, Florida, was talking to the person at the checkout counter at a local Cracker Barrel restaurant when his gun slipped out of his holster. When the gun hit the floor it discharged. The bullet hit a kettle and sent fragments flying in several directions.
Three people were hit by the shrapnel, including the restaurant manager, Hoback's finance, and a customer who was eating breakfast.
The customer told police he heard a loud bang and then felt a sharp burning pain in his left shin. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police did not charge Hoback in the incident and would not say if Hoback had a permit to carry the gun.

Gunfight at the OK Corral Re-enactment Unintentionally Uses Live Rounds, Wounds Actor
But Sunday, the re-enactment went terribly wrong when the gun Tom Carter fired unintentionally contained live ammunition. One of the bullets Carter fired struck Ken Curtis in the upper-groin area. Curtis was flown to the hospital in Tucson for treatment.
At least two other rounds struck businesses approximately 680 feet from the skit. One of the bullets caused shrapnel to hit a female bystander. She was not seriously injured and refused treatment.
Law officials have ordered the Tombstone Vigilante group to stop future re-enactments while the incident is being investigated.

Gun falls out of woman's purse, discharges, injures woman nearby
A woman was checking her mother out of Christus Outpatient Pavilion in Beaumont, TX. She reached into her purse to grab some paperwork and a small caliber pistol fell out. When the gun hit the floor it discharged. The bullet went through a wall and hit another patient in the hip.
A police spokesperson said the injury was not life threatening and that the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Woman almost hit by bullet fired by 3-year-old in neighboring apartment
Police say a 3-year-old child in Peru, Indiana unintentionally discharged a handgun. The bullet went through the wall into a neighbor's apartment.
The woman in the apartment told police she heard a bang and saw drywall flying towards her. Luckily, she was not injured.
The child's mother told police the gun belonged to her finance and that he usually kept the gun in a drawer by the bed with the chamber cleared but he had been in a hurry that morning and left the gun loaded and unlocked on the nightstand.
The Miami County Department of Child Services was called to investigate the incident.
