3 boys playing video games start playing with real gun. 12-year-old unintentionally shoots and kills 10-year-old

Three boys, ages 8, 10 and 12 were playing video games at a home in Augusta, Georgia. The 12-year-old went into the kitchen and grabbed his parent's unlocked, loaded handgun from above the refrigerator.
According to the county sheriff, "He retrieved his parent's .22 semi-automatic pistol, began waving it around; he informed us that he didn't believe the firearm worked properly. According to witnesses, he was squeezing the trigger and at some point he had the gun pointed at Hunter. He squeezed the trigger and the gun fired."
10-year-old Hunter Morris was shot and died at the scene. The 12-year-old boy panicked and tried to drag Hunter's body to a dumpster outside. A neighbor saw they boy and called the police.
The boy is now at the Youth Detention Center, charged with pointing a weapon at another and involuntary manslaughter.
The parents have not been charged for leaving the loaded, unlocked gun in the kitchen. Georgia law does not penalize a person who negligently stores a firearm, even if a minor gains access to it.

That is ridiculous! I know this family. They let their kids ru n wild...They have 4 kids. I have been to their home several times with kids running wild and no parent in sight! Never! They never supervise their kids! Their little 3 year old girl has walked, WALKED, to my house without anybody knowing! They should have all their kids taken away because none of them are safe!!! As for Gabriel, he needs serious counseling. He's weird and he scares me...And I am an adult! How could he shoot his neighbor, drag him to the dumpster and get away with it? The kid needs to be locked up!
