Deputy's 3-year-old son unintentionally shoots himself in the head

A Battle Ground, Washington sheriff's deputy's 3-year-old son unintentionally shot himself in the head with the deputy's service weapon. The father was off-duty and home at the time of the shooting. It wasn't immediately clear how the boy got access to the gun.
The Clark County Sheriff's Office adopted a policy that requires officers to lock up their service weapons when not in use after a 13-year-old boy shot and killed his 10-year-old sister with a gun issued to their father, a county sheriff.
Ohh shoot.

I wrote about this one today. Sorry, I should have checked here first, Thanks for all the good reporting.

My suggestion was that the deputy dad should lose his job and his right to own guns.
