Armed employee at pawn shop unintentionally discharges gun, injures two people

An employee at Erwin's Pawn Shop in Amarillo, Texas dropped his Glock handgun. He unintentionally discharged the gun when he went to pick it back up.
Two people were injured, but police didn't say if they were struck directly by the bullet or if the bullet fragmented and hit them. One man was taken away on a stretcher, while a woman was transported from the scene with bandages on her leg.
"It's not unusual," said the store's attorney. "This is a pawn shop, they deal in a lot of gold and jewelry and firearms and it's not uncommon for those kinds of establishments here in town to have their employees armed."
Police say no criminal charges are likely to be filed.
