Man unintentionally shot by neighbor target shooting with AR-15 assault rifle

Jeffrey Satterfield was visiting his mother in Elon, North Carolina when he was hit by a stray bullet. According to the sheriff's office, 24-year-old Dustin Stinson was target shooting with an AR-15 semi-automatic assault rifle. A round went through some woods and through the door of a trailer. The bullet hit Satterfield in the ankle.

Satterfield was taken to the hospital for treatment and released. He was readmitted after he developed an infection.

Stinson has been charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon.

During target shooting we should make sure about the location that there is no resident place near the shooting area. For target shooting it is important to take help of firearm expert to avoid such type of incident.
