In nursing home at age 26 due to unintentional shooting

Last year, Adam Martin was unintentionally shot in the neck by his stepbrother. The shooting left Adam a quadriplegic.  Today, the 26-year-old Florida man is in a nursing home in Sarasota.
"It's a depressing place to live," says Adam. "I'm stuck here. You don't have no privacy at all. People die around you all the time. It starts to really get depressing because all you're seeing is negative, negative, negative."
The number of under-65 residents in nursing homes has risen about 22 percent in the past eight years. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid estimate about 203,000 people under the age of 65 are currently in nursing homes.
"Its lonely here," Adam says, as a single tear drips from his eye.
Ohh shoot.
