Arrest made in shooting that killed innocent bystander

15-year-old Nicole Cartwright of Longview, Texas was out with her friends on Christmas Eve. They decided to stop at William's Chicken, in Tyler, for a snack before heading home. While they were sitting in their car a disturbance broke out between two other groups in the parking lot. Shots were fired. One stray bullet struck Nicole in the head and she died at East Texas Medical Center.
Police have arrested 26-year-old Gregory Polley and charged him with first degree murder. Also charged in the murder was 22-year-old Adrian Blakenship. Blakenship did not fire the weapon, but he is charged because the gun belonged to him and he told Polley to go get the gun out of the trunk of his car.
Ohh shoot.
