The woman was shot and died at the scene. The child who discharged the gun was about 2-years-old.
Deputies said the woman and the children were near the electronics section when the incident happened. The woman was in town for the holidays and is not from the area.
After looking at video surveillance from the store and talking to eye witnesses deputies determined the shooting was unintentional.
Deputies said the woman had a concealed weapons permit.
What kind of country have we become when people feel they have to carry a gun to be safe? Thank you NRA for making us a bunch of gun fanatics.
ReplyDelete^ OH, shut the fuck up.
ReplyDeleteThe follow-up articles quote the woman's father as saying she was "a very responsible" gun owner, which is obviously NOT the case, given the fact that she was: (a) shot and killed by her own gun, which was (b) fired by her two-year-old toddler, who (c) gained easy access to the aforementioned weapon, which was (d) loaded and cocked with the safety off. I can't see ANY way of spinning that into "responsible," except maybe responsible for her own death.
ReplyDeleteI am assuming the weapon was loaded, cocked and safety off because the follow-up I read indicated it was a semi-auto handgun, and I don't think a two-year-old would have the strength to fire it double-action.
The ONLY saving grace to this whole sorry mess is that it wasn't an innocent shopper or another child killed. If anyone HAD to die, it is fitting it is the moron who carried a loaded, cocked weapon in the proximity of a two-year-old.
BTW, the toddler will spend his whole life thinking about how he killed Mommy.
As Anonymous 1 said, "thank you NRA for making us a bunch of gun fanatics."
Keep believing these staged media events and hoaxes. Hope all these lies involving death make you feel good about yourself.
DeleteA two year old did not shoot anyone @ Walmart. Get over it.
... And next, anonymous #2 will tell ME to STFU, because he/she/it refuses to face reality.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts. I truly appreciate your efforts and I am waiting for your next write ups thanks once again.
