19-year-old Turisha Lashay Huston of Sacramento, California was meeting with friends at a Starbucks on Power Inn Road. Police think that Turisha was reaching into her purse when she unintentionally discharged a handgun in her bag. She was shot once and died at the scene.

That is not what happened. There was no gun in her purse, reliable source tells us that only thing in this woman's van was a cell phone and a sweater, she had a faint pulse, and paramedics advised to let her expire. So what is told in one media is not what happened. There was no gun on the "scene" first found in the "bushes" then mysteriously in the young woman's handbag? Come on? It appears here is a cover up in this case and it's very unfortunate. Murder Suicide involving Sacramento Family Court, now an "accidental" shooting adjacent from the Family Court House. Majority of family law litigants park at the "Starbucks" parking lot most of them can't afford parking in the parking structure. So, there needs to be so reconfirmation on what REALLY Happened. HMMMM.
Turisha, would never carry a purse. She was "one of the homies"
man turisha would never carry a purse wtf get real turisha i love you boo
Plz to the family of lashay i need u to investigate ths more. I heard the last person she was with is garnet lee james. Suppooooosly he jus happn tobe there. Uh not true they was probably shootin at him. Where are the camra's???do the police has nothin to hide but id bet you garnet does! The story doesn't make any sense and y would she wanna do that to herself with all she has going
I parked in the starbucks parking lot that day and had just walked out of the family law court when i heard a popping sound. I looked over towards the starbucks parking lot and didnt see anything out of the norm and didnt think much about it. It didnt sound loud enough to be a gunshot to me, almost like air being popped out of a plastic bag. When i got to the starbucks parking lot I saw her laying on the ground next to the van and i didnt know why but i still didnt think she had been shot because of the way her friends were acting. They were all huddled together at the back of the van talking to each other while she was on the ground next to the passenger side door. They were not trying to help her at all. While I was standing there trying to figure out what was going on, other people in the parking lot stopped and noticed her.By that time, finally one of the guys in the group of friends came around from the back of the van and was saying "come on Tunisha, get up" as if there was nothing wrong. A guy in the parking lot walked up and asked if she was ok and her friend said "yeah its cool" so the guy walked away. She was responsive and moving around and there was also no visible blood so thats why other people including myself didnt know what was going on. One of the girls in the group behind the van was on her cell phone but it sounded to me like she was talking to a friend and not 911. After about 5 mins of standing there and still having no idea that she was shot, I got in my car. As i was driving out of the parking lot i noticed another bystander walked up to her and knelt down and then turned and ran across the street back to family law court. She was still responsive and her friends were still behind the van. My job requires me to go to that court so i returned an hour later and saw the whole parking lot taped off. I felt horrible. I wish i would have done more or at least walked up and asked her if she was ok. I have no medical knowledge but I damn sure would have called 911 or alerted cops who were 100 feet away at the courthouse. At the time i figured if there was truly something wrong and she was hurt then her friends would be freaking out and doing anything they could to help her. They did absolutely nothing to help her and i hope they read this too. There were 5 or 6 of them and not 1 of them acted with any sense of urgency. None of them ran into starbucks or asked anyone for help, in fact the guy basically turned away help when approached by a bystander saying "its cool" when asked if she was ok. They seemed more focused on their own conversation at the back of the van. My gut feeling was that this was not an accident and I know im not the only one. I gave a statement to police when i returned to the scene and i overheard other witnesses saying the same thing about how odd her so called friends were acting. People dont act that way in an accident. I also tried to follow up with the police sending them an email but they never tried to contact me or ask me any more questions. I dont know the victim or anyone else involved and i have no reason to write this except that I want her family and true friends to know the truth. Could this have been an accident? yes. I dont know for sure exactly what happened 30 seconds before i got there but I know the people she was with were acting very suspicious and i think she could have had a chance of being saved if they would have acted with more of a sense of urgency to help her.
