25-year-old William Baker was shooting squirrels in his backyard in Hollansburg, Ohio. A bullet from the small caliber rifle ricocheted and struck Baker's 6-year-old daughter, Fayth, in the abdomen. Fayth was taken to the Children's Medical Center in Dayton where she is recovery from surgery.
According to deputies, it is likely no charges will be filed in the case. The incident remains under investigation.
Ohh shoot.
This past weekend, tens of thousands of people participated in competitive shooting events, and there wasn't a single gunshot wound or death.
