30-year-old Marcus Raynor of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania was playing with his 9mm handgun. He didn't think the gun was loaded when he pulled the trigger. Unfortunately, it was. His live-in girlfriend, 32-year-old Simone Cox was shot in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Raynor called 911 immediately and said the shooting was accidental. Raynor has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
In addition to the 9mm gun, police also found a 38-caliber revolver in the house. One gun was reported stolen in Maryland and one was stolen in Virginia.
